Linda's Award-Winning Fairy Garden

There’s still time to register!

On March 3, 2012 at swell gallery in West Dundee, Landscape Designer Linda Haas of Tree Star Hollow will present two independent workshops allowing participants to construct their very own fairy garden house.

A Fairy Garden is a miniature garden complete with structures and living plants. Linda’s Fairy Houses are constructed of all natural materials, which she has collected personally.

Participants are provided all materials to build their own fairy house to take home. Artistic experience is not required.

The fee for the workshop is $30, payable upon arrival. Advance registration is required. Please email curator@swellgallery.com to register. Workshops will take place on March 3 at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Please indicate which workshop time upon registration.

We will have a fantastic array of new eye candy from area artists including paintings, photography, jewelry and prints.

There will be an amazing variety of fun handmade and vintage items from wearables to wall art to home goods to christmas items and much more. From now till Christmas we’ll be releasing tasty tidbits to whet your palate… beginning with this: An album of photos from last year’s Holiday Market.

Several of these makers will be joining us again this year, so don’t miss the opportunity to pick up that item that you are kicking yourself for not getting last time. Enjoy, and see you soon!

Contemporary artwork and functional and funky crafts are sought. Please submit images of your work via email to curator@swellgallery.com. Either a link to your website or images attached to an email are acceptable. If you would like to submit your work in any other format, please email us first. While your at it, tell us a little about yourself.

Artists must be able to transport work to and from the gallery (pre-paid shipping is acceptable), and are strongly encouraged to attend exhibition receptions. Gallery commission is 25%. Cross-promotion is also encouraged to increase exposure for both the artist and gallery, and increase attendance and sales for exhibitions.  All accepted work must be display ready and artist must provide artwork details, artist statement and business cards for use by the gallery.
