Located at 123½ W Main Street (IL 72/Higgins) in West Dundee, Illinois, swell gallery is a 650 sf exhibition space in the lower level of a historic building in the downtown business district.  Just 1 block from the Fox River and surrounded by independently owned specialty shops, restaurants & bars (including a microbrewery and old-timey candy shop), swell gallery is in good company. Parking is available on South Second Street and in the public parking lot immediately behind the gallery, just off of Second Street.

swell gallery is operated by local artists KIM frieders and nikki hollander. KIM and nikki met in the painting and printmaking studios at Millikin University while pursuing their BFAs. As their careers developed in the Chicago emerging art scene, KIM and nikki continued to support one another and follow similar paths. Either by chance or by fate, KIM and nikki both migrated to the Dundee area and seized the opportunity to join forces as studio mates and business partners in their newest endeavor, swell gallery.
